Due to the manufacturing process, textiles may contain hazardous substances related to the human health, for which limits have been set in the EU. In imported clothing, however, repeatedly prohibited chemicals are detected.
Furthermore, it is important for many manufacturers to know which substances from the manufacturing process remained on the textile or whether it has been damaged by chemical substances. The impairment of quality due to transportation and storage mistakes also plays an increasingly important role in the testing of textiles.
