At the InSuM joint stand, TITV Greiz will showcase a smart centre console – developed within the InSuM Hub of automotive thüringen e.V. and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. This demonstrator unites textile functionality, electronics, and modern design in a pioneering solution for the vehicle interior.

Together with renowned partners from the automotive supply industry – including Nissha Innovation Centre Europe, Fuerda GmbH, Ruhlamat GmbH, ITP GmbH, Melexis, Hapticlabs, Rökona, Aunde, iprotex, Sandler AG, and Jenoptik – we have realised a versatile package of innovative features.
Key highlights of the smart centre console:
- Replaceable textile heating surface
- Modular illuminated decorative elements
- Illuminated side pocket
- Textile loudspeaker
- Sensor control panel with haptic feedback
- Illuminated cup holder
- Housing made from recycled PLA (rPLA) using 3D printing – sustainable and adaptable
This project clearly demonstrates how interdisciplinary collaboration between research, design, and industry can rapidly turn new ideas into tangible, market-ready solutions.
