Over 50 guests attended the Innovation Day and showed great interest in the research work, projects, technologies and new systems.
The project managers presented the results of recently completed work in exciting short presentations and an inspiring poster exhibition.
Many curious visitors took the opportunity to find out about the latest developments and innovations in the field of textile applications in vehicle interiors at the Textiles in the Automobile exhibition. It became clear how innovative materials together with pioneering designs and advanced textile technologies are shaping the driving experience of the future.

Network panel ‘Innovation meets tradition - constant change in the textile world’
There were lively discussions at the panel on the importance and current impact of the textile world. Under the title ‘Innovation meets tradition - constant change in the textile world’, newcomers and experienced personalities came together to explore the changing landscape of the textile industry. They included Christoph Müller from WarmX GmbH, Andreas Ludwig from Thorey Gera Textilveredlung GmbH, Claudia Graf-Pfohl from ATB Arbeit, Technik und Bildung gGmbH, Paul Merkel from Innotex Merkel & Rau GmbH und Anna Hadzelek from RE-SHIRT GBR.
InSuM – Labtours
The InSuM lab tours, with insights into the diverse possibilities of textile technologies and their applications in the automotive interior of tomorrow, as well as the technology show on the SmartAutoSort and laser powder systems also aroused great interest.
Our students from Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Joy Weinberger and Stella Höllerer, provided additional inspiration with the presentation of their final projects, which were created in cooperation with TITV Greiz.
The all-round positive feedback from the participants is confirmation for us that we are spinning the thread in the right way.
