User Forum SMART TEXTILES

Every year, the SMART TEXTILES User Forum brings together experts from industry, research, and development to explore the latest trends, applications, and technologies in smart textiles. The event offers a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. In addition to insightful keynote presentations, attendees can look forward to interactive discussions, live demonstrations, and valuable networking opportunities.

The next SMART TEXTILES User Forum will once again take place in Vorarlberg, Austria. This year’s conference programme will be complemented by a guided tour of Getzner Textil.

Smart high-tech textiles are a rapidly growing global market. With their wide range of functionalities, Smart Textiles are set to play an increasingly important role across all industries. The SMART TEXTILES User Forum provides inspiration for new products, services and technologies while bringing together expertise from Germany, Austria and Switzerland (the D-A-CH region).

The forum is aimed at managing directors and developers from a wide range of industries who are interested in smart textile solutions.

We particularly welcome contributions from industry representatives who would like to share their practical experience in the development, production and market launch of Smart Textiles from an end-user perspective.

Programme and Venue

The two-day event will take place in Vorarlberg, Austria.

On the afternoon of March 17, 2027, the programme will begin with a guided tour of Getzner Textil in Bludenz, followed by a joint dinner at the FIRMAMENT conference hotel in Rankweil.

On March 18, 2027, the presentations will take place in Rankweil.

The SMART TEXTILES User Forum is organised by Forschungskuratorium Textil e.V. in Berlin, the German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf (DITF), and the Textile Research Institute Thuringia-Vogtland (TITV) in Greiz. Since 2012, the forum has been held regularly to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration between industry and academia.

 

The event will be held in person and conducted in German.
